Join CSU Faculty, Staff, and Students in Improving Accommodations for Those With Disabilities
CFA’s Disability Caucus and the California State University Employee Union (CSUEU) Disability Constituency Group will be hosting a Disability Coalition Mixer for CSU staff, faculty, and students March 15 from noon to 1 p.m. This is an opportunity for people from different campuses and unions to connect around disability issues to develop strategies to improve our working, teaching, and learning conditions.
“The aim of this mixer is to provide CSU faculty, staff, and students with visual and/or hidden disabilities with a platform to share their concerns and to unite in the push for accessibility, the dismantling of barriers to access accommodations, the hidden work for sustaining accessibilities, and the stigma involved in asking for accommodations needed to work, teach, and learn within the CSU,” said Leslie Bryan, chair of CFA’s Disability Caucus.
The mixer will be closed captioned and provide a sign language interpreter. The meeting will be held via Zoom here.
