CFA Members Celebrate Native American Heritage Month
CFA members are invited to participate in a variety of events recognizing Native American Heritage Month in November. The events are hosted by Native American faculty and departments to educate and highlights the work of Native American faculty and students on campuses and within their communities. The events share Native American culture – both traditional and modern.
Tonight from 6 to 7 p.m., organizers at CSU Monterey Bay are holding an event to honor the month with a presentation and conversation with writer, filmmaker, and activist Cinnamon Spear Kills First. She will share from her work and lead a discussion of this year’s Social Justice Colloquium theme, “Trauma & Healing.”
CSU San Bernardino also has a slate of celebrations, including a Decolonizing Higher Education Panel on Tuesday. CSU Long Beach organizers wrap up their field of events on November 20. Tune into a panel on Native American Cultures and COVID-19 by clicking here.
