Elections will be held for several CFA Statewide positions during the Spring 2025 General Assembly. The term for these positions is set to begin on June 1, 2025, for a period of two years. Nominations to elect the Statewide CFA President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are now open. A completed CFA Declaration of Candidacy Form (included below) can be submitted via email to elections@calfac.org or by digital webform. Click HERE to access the digital form. Nominations for CFA Statewide President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer offices will close on February 28, 2025.

DECLARATION FOR OTHER POSITIONS

A call for nominations for other positions will go out on March 3, 2025, and candidates for other positions may declare at that time or wait until nominations are taken from the floor or the appropriate council.

CFA Board positions to be elected are:

President

Vice-President

Secretary

Treasurer

Associate Vice Presidents:

  • Council for Racial & Social Justice- North and South
  • Lecturers- North and South
  • Presidents – North and South

Committee Chairs: Coaches, Contract Development/Bargaining Strategy; Counselors; Librarians; Membership/Organizing; Political Action/Legislation; Representation

In addition to the Board seats, elections will be held for the AAUP California Representative – South, one member of the Audit Committee, and the CDBS Committee.

Members need not be elected members of the CFA Assembly to run for office or to nominate an individual. Individuals nominated by a second party must submit a written acceptance to the Elections Committee via email at elections@calfac.org.
