CSU chancellors and administrators continue to see pay increases as faculty pay stays stagnant while workload increases, and the cost attendance for students climbs.
CSU Chancellor Joseph I. Castro took a 30-percent salary increase over his predecessor. And one of his first moves in office was to present and win trustee approval of a pay plan for campus presidents that would raise their salaries by up to 30 percent over three years.
All while faculty, staff, and many Californians struggled (and continue to struggle) to keep health insurance or their jobs.
