CFA Members Meet to Discuss Faculty Rights, Bargaining
CFA faculty rights advocates, member leaders, and staff met virtually last month to discuss ways to better support faculty and union work throughout our 23 campuses.
Representation Committee Chair Molly Talcott and member of the CFA Bargaining Team discussed a myriad of topics ranging from contract reopening for 2023, how to handle discipline appeals, an analysis of CFA’s most recent workload related wins, and best practices for handling Retention, Tenure, and Promotion grievances.
Campus advocates concluded the meeting with a roundtable discussion on issues currently affecting faculty throughout the CSU system.
Our faculty rights teams host these meetings twice a year – with one upcoming in the fall. If you want to get involved with faculty rights or other union work, contact your local CFA chapter.
