The reaction is strong from faculty members on CSU campuses to the latest findings about CSU faculty salaries.

State Senate takes up higher ed funding this Thursday

The legislature’s next step to determine 2015/16 state funding for the CSU happens tomorrow, March 12. The Senate Budget Subcommittee will hold its first oversight hearing for all three segments of public higher education in the state, including the CSU.

CFA spokespersons and CSU faculty will attend.

Faculty Rights Tip of the Week: Equity and Market Salary Increases

Our collective bargaining agreement provides several different ways for faculty members to increase their salaries. ”Equity Increases” and ”Increases for Market” are two that are often confused.

Equity Increases are covered in Articles 31.11 through 31.14 of the faculty contract. Equity increases address the salary inequities of compression and inversion caused by the lack of faculty funding over the last 10 years.
