CFA Board of Directors urges members to ratify tentative agreement

The CFA Board of Directors voted unanimously last weekend to send the Tentative Agreement reached with CSU management on the faculty contract to a ratification vote of the members.

The Board approved the CFA Bargaining Team recommendation to ask CFA members to vote “Yes” on the agreement.

Plans are underway to hold the vote soon so that raises can reach faculty members’ paycheck as soon as possible.

San Diego President Hirshman agrees to campus Equity program

San Diego State’s CFA Chapter President Charles Toombs and SDSU campus President Elliot Hirshman announced jointly today that an Equity program will be launched on that campus.

Members clock hundreds of hours for endorsed candidates

CFA members are rocking the vote and campaign work for the November General Election.

During the first two days of CFA’s Assembly, held Oct. 17-19, we logged 150 hours of phone banking for two of our endorsed statewide candidates and Proposition 47, resulting in 2,500 calls placed.

Faculty Rights ‘Tip of the Week’: Parking if you work on two or more CSU campuses

Do you work on more than one CSU Campus? You only have to purchase one parking permit.

32.24: Faculty Unit Employees employed at two (2) or more campuses shall not be required to purchase multiple parking passes. Procedures to implement the terms of this provision shall be determined by the CSU. This procedure will permit parking at all campuses where a faculty member is employed provided that the faculty unit employee has purchased a parking pass during the same academic term at a CSU campus.
