Nominations for CFA Elections Now Open
Elections for CFA Board of Directors will be held at CFA’s Spring 2023 Assembly on Saturday, April 15.
Positions will begin on June 1, 2023, for a period of two years.
CFA Board positions to be elected are:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Associate Vice Presidents:
- Council for Racial & Social Justice – North and South
- Lecturers – North and South
- Presidents – North and South
- Committee Chairs: Coaches, Contract Development/Bargaining Strategy, Counselors, Librarians, Membership/Organizing, Political Action/Legislation, Representation
Additionally, elections will be held for the American Association of University Professors California Representative – South, the Contract Development & Bargaining Strategy Committee, and two members of the Audit Committee.
Candidates for resident, vice president, secretary, and treasurer
Candidates for president, vice president, secretary, and teasurer must declare their intention to run on the official CFA Declaration of Candidacy form no later than Friday, March 10, 2023.

A copy of the declaration will be forwarded to Assembly Delegates, the CFA Board of Directors, the Chapter Presidents Council, the Council of Lecturers, and the Council for Racial and Social Justice.
Declaration for other positions
A call for nominations for other positions will go out at a later date and candidates for other positions may declare at that time, or they may wait until nominations are taken from the floor or the appropriate council.
Members need not be members of the CFA Assembly to run for office or to nominate an individual. Individuals nominated by a second party must submit a written acceptance to the Elections Committee.
