Unionwide Town Hall Held on February 25 to Discuss Budget, AI, and Immigration
In response to the growing concerns in public higher education that threaten the values of the CSU system, a virtual unionwide town hall will be held on February 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. This will be an opportunity for us to come together, discuss the challenges we face, and discover strategies for overcoming them.
You can register here.
The town hall is open to all faculty. If you’re not already a CFA member, we strongly encourage you to become a member today.
In these critical times, we must remain united in our efforts to liberate the CSU.
We must do all we can to secure funding and reverse the proposed state budget cuts. We need to find ways to ensure that we uphold the rights of our documented and undocumented students, faculty, staff, and their families. We must also push back against the chancellor’s decision – one made without any prior consultation or shared governance – to introduce a public-private initiative aimed at making the CSU the first A.I.-powered university.
We can no longer afford to ignore these issues as they deepen. If we want change, we must demand it.
When we fight together, we can shape the CSU into a more inclusive and equitable future for all our students, faculty, and staff.
