Attend one of two workshops September 19 and 22.

“As a former chair, I attended every year the CSU training for chairs. I gained a lot of knowledge. However, I found the CFA workshops helped prepare me and provide guidance in areas of faculty rights, social justice, equity, taking care of myself as a chair, and best practices to support faculty,” said Sandy Kewanhaptewa-Dixon, CFA Pomona member and former Ethnic & Women’s Studies chair at Cal Poly Pomona.

“CFA workshops spent valuable time on policies and the rights of tenure-track, tenure, and lecturer faculty. I also attended several workshops and trainings and gained valuable information from former chairs in our Ethnic & Women’s Studies department and across campus. I found wonderful allies as I became more involved with CFA who provided first-hand experiences, perspectives, tools, and listened with intent. There is a welcome and a powerful movement of giving. I hope you join us for our CFA Chairs workshop,” added Dixon, who will be presenting at the workshops.

Workshops will be held Monday, September 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. and Thursday, September 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Space is limited, and RSVP is required. Register here.
