Vote for David Miller and Jose Luis Pacheco for CalPERS Board!

As many of you know, there is a CalPERS Board Election taking place this year. Two at-large seats are up for election.

CFA has joined SEIU locals, firefighters, teachers, and healthcare workers in endorsing pro-worker board candidates David Miller and Jose Luis Pacheco to protect our pension and healthcare benefits. Ballots are due September 27.

David Miller serves on the CalPERS Board, where he has fought to protect pensions and healthcare benefits of CalPERS members. He has more than three decades in public service, working as a senior environmental scientist and serving as a union leader. CFA endorsed and supported Miller during his last campaign.

Jose Luis Pacheco is president of the California School Employees Association, Chapter 363, fighting to provide families with a living wage and dignity in retirement. He has a bachelor’s in economics and holds a professional certificate in advanced accounting proficiency from Santa Clara University. Pacheco has both the fiscal experience and pro-worker values that we need on the CalPERS Board.
