Watch CFA's Equity Week
Sessions from CFA’s 2021 Equity Week are now on our YouTube channel and our website. With the theme of Connecting for Co-Liberation, speakers focused on our need to reckon with America’s violence against Blacks and the country’s systems of racism, sexism, and trans- and LGBTQIA-phobia before we can heal and tackle these challenges.
President Charles Toombs and Associate Vice Presidents Sharon Elise and Margarita Berta-Ávila framed the week’s sessions by discussing CFA’s work in disrupting and interrupting racist and unjust systems in the CSU, and validating the experiences of faculty and students of color. Also, watch sessions from liberator Rev. angel Kyodo Williams; Dr. Fania Davis, a national leader on restorative justice; racial equity scholar Dr. Shaun Harper; acclaimed author of There There Tommy Orange; and activist and public intellectual Dr. Loretta Ross.
